The story

A Neighborhood Bar, Done Right

Dangle’s is a Black-owned bar and grill on Orange Street in downtown New Haven — the kind of place people get told about for years before they finally walk in, and then immediately wish they had come sooner.

The formula is simple and we refuse to complicate it: every plate is made fresh when you order it, every drink is poured strong, and every guest gets the kind of personal service that turns a first visit into a weekly habit. Good music overhead, chill vibes throughout, and wings that settled the citywide argument.

Come for one drink. Stay for five. Leave full. We’ll see you next week.

Before You Come Through

What should I order on my first visit?

Wings with the Dang Sauce — that is non-negotiable. Pair them with a Mango Long Island, and if you are hungry, ask about the Ole Charleston off the dinner menu.

Do you take reservations?

Walk-ins are the house style. Whether it is packed or you have the place to yourselves, our staff will make sure you are taken care of.

When are the 99¢ wings?

Every Saturday and Sunday. It is the best wing deal in New Haven on the wings people already call the best in New Haven.

What makes Dangle’s different?

Everything is made fresh to order, the drinks are poured strong, and we treat every customer like family. People come in for one drink and stay for five — then come back weekly.
